I am not sure about how reliable this information is, but I was told somewhere that Pheobe Prince not only had some long-standing psychological issues, but she had actually attempted to kill herself in Ireland, before she moved.
If this is actually true, and can be proven, it would prove a serious blow to to the prosecution.

True. It might make a conviction harder under the law, but folks (like Isaiah) might hold that the defendants are still accountable for their conduct.
